Artist's Commentary: From an American perspective, the Chinese language and Chinese royal architecture is very mystical, beautiful, and unusual. Eastern philosophies are very, very old, much older than anything we can imagine in our very young United States. From the Chinese and Japanese, we have over 3000 year old philosophies and art to learn from and enjoy. The influence of the simple Chinese gate is the idea source of my contemporary functional sculptures. Fung-shui, the Zen of our surroundings, means "wind and water" and can be thought of as an eastern gestalt for how things flow and harmonize aesthetically. Fung-Shui is a way of making our living areas feel right according to the Zen Masters. Their collective knowledge helps us understand what we need aesthetically. Combining the Fung-Shui aesthetics with our own likes and tastes we may find living in harmony with our selves, our family, and the world comes more easily. Waterfalls from ZenWaterfalls.comŽ and the artist Craig Sundberg, hope to help you find that peacefulness by bringing nature's falling and flowing water to you with calming and soothing sounds from contemporary sculptural art. Like a campfire on a cold night, Zen Waterfalls can provide you with a similar unique peace, contentment, and aesthetic experience. ZenWaterfalls.com is a fine art gallery that features contemporary indoor fountains, indoor waterfalls, home fountains, home waterfalls, and patio fountains designed and hand made by the artist, Craig Sundberg. Water appears from seemingly nowhere as it pours over the edge of the glass just below the arched top of each fountain waterfall. Each indoor waterfall is a sculptural piece of art and will provide a unique feeling to your foyer, study, family room, or zen garden. Anywhere you need the tranquil beauty and sounds of falling water, an indoor fountain can provide you with a soft, relaxing, yet full, sensory environment. They can also be used as a unique patio fountain and are especially for those who enjoy a home fountain and are enthralled by Chinese and Japanese architecture and contemporary art. Customized orders are welcome and expected to satisfy the diverse tastes of my customers. These designer fountains are truly Zen art and an ideal piece for all your indoor fountain ideas. |
